"The Miracle on the Hill" - West Liberty, KY Tornado

On March 2, an F3 tornado ripped through Kentucky and West Virginia, leaving a 95 mile path of destruction in its wake. God's Pit Crew responded to the town of West Liberty, KY where they found the entire small town leveled.  Main Street businesses were completely destroyed. City Hall was demolished.  The Police Station was ruined.  The elementary school was totally unsalvageable.  Shortly after arriving, GPC Founder/Director Randy Johnson was contacted by the town about having the crew help convert a vacant warehouse into a temporary elementary school for the kids. The local officials told Randy that they would like this to be done in the course of one week.  With our crew of about 25 volunteers and over one hundred other volunteers, the "Miracle on the Hill" was completed.  A vacant warehouse became fifteen classrooms, a cafeteria, a library, a computer lab and the main office of the local school board in the course of one week due to the dedication and help of both GPC volunteers and others.  These children's lives will be forever changed and they will never forget the work these strangers did for them.
