John Calipari | UK Wildcats | NCAA 2010

John Vincent Calipari (born February 10, 1959) is an American basketball coach. Since March 2009 he has been the men's head coach at the University of Kentucky.

The Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team, representing the University of Kentucky, is the winningest program in the history of college basketball, both in all-time wins and all-time winning percentage. Kentucky's all-time record currently stands at 2020-637-1 (.760). Kentucky also leads the NCAA in NCAA tournament appearances, NCAA tournament games, ranks second to UCLA in NCAA championships with 7, and second to UNC in NCAA tournament wins with 98. In addition to these titles, Kentucky also has won the National Invitation Tournament in both 1946 and 1976. The Wildcats have played in 50 NCAA tournaments, have 40 Sweet 16 appearances, 31 Elite 8 appearances, 13 Final Fours, and have played in 10 NCAA national championship games, winning 7 championships.
